Logo & Brand Color
Upload your logo and set a primary brand color to make the portal feel like your own.
Your logo and brand color are the most visible parts of your branding — they appear at the top of every borrower's portal session. A well-branded portal signals professionalism and builds trust before the borrower even starts uploading.
Both are Starter and Pro features. Go to Settings → Branding to configure them.
Company Logo
Your logo appears in the portal header and on the cover sheet of exported document packages.
Uploading a logo
- Go to Settings → Branding
- Fill in your Company Name and Reply-to Email (required before you can upload)
- Click Save Branding if you haven't already
- Click the logo upload area and select an image file
Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, SVG, and other common image types. Keep the file under 50 MB (a logo should be far smaller — 200 KB or less is ideal).
Logo tips
- Use a version with a transparent background (PNG with transparency) so it works on both light and dark portal themes
- Landscape/horizontal logos fit the header better than tall square ones
- If your logo has a white wordmark, make sure you have a dark-background version — borrowers can toggle between light and dark mode
- Optimal resolution: 2× the display size to stay sharp on retina screens (e.g., if it displays at 120×40px, export at 240×80px)
Removing a logo
If you need to remove the logo (to revert to the text-only header), contact support — there's no delete button yet, but it's on the roadmap.
Brand Color
The brand color sets the background of the portal header. It replaces the default color with your primary brand color.
Choosing a color
Click the Brand Color swatch in the Branding form to open a color picker. You can:
- Enter a hex value directly (e.g.,
#0052CC) - Use the visual color picker to select a shade
- Paste an RGB or HSL value
The default is #6aa400 (a muted green). Any color you set is saved immediately when you click Save Branding.
Contrast and readability
The portal header shows your company name in white text over the brand color. Make sure there's enough contrast — dark or saturated colors work best.
Colors to avoid:
- Near-white or light pastels (the white text becomes invisible)
- Near-black (indistinguishable from the default dark theme)
A good rule: if you can read white text on the color in your head, it'll work. Use WebAIM's contrast checker if you want to be precise (aim for a ratio above 4.5:1).
How logo and color appear together
The portal header is a horizontal bar at the top of the borrower's screen. It shows:
[ Logo ] Company Name [ Light/Dark toggle ]
If no logo is uploaded, just the company name shows. If a brand color is set, the bar uses that color as the background. If no color is set, the bar uses the app default.
Plan requirement
Logo upload and brand color are locked on the Free plan. The fields appear grayed out with an Upgrade to Unlock link. Upgrading to Starter or Pro unlocks them immediately — no page refresh needed after the upgrade completes.
