Setting Up Your Branding

Add your logo, brand color, and NMLS number to personalize your borrower portal.

BorrowerDocs shows your branding throughout the borrower portal, reminder emails, and exported cover sheets — so your borrowers always see your name, not ours.

Go to Settings → Branding to configure everything described on this page.

Required fields

You must complete these two fields before you can send portal invitations:

Company name

Shown in the portal header, all borrower-facing emails, and the PDF cover sheet on exports. Use your DBA name if you have one.

Reply-to email

This is where borrower email replies are directed. It also appears as the display "from" address in reminder and invitation emails — for example, Jane Smith <[email protected]>.

Heads up: BorrowerDocs sends emails via our delivery infrastructure, but your reply-to email is shown to borrowers so replies come directly to you.

Optional fields

From name

Customizes how your name appears alongside the email address. If blank, your company name is used. Example: "Sunrise Mortgage" vs. "Jane Smith at Sunrise Mortgage".

NMLS number

Your NMLS number is displayed at the bottom of the borrower portal. Enter just the digits — BorrowerDocs prepends "NMLS #" automatically.

Intro text

A short welcome message shown at the top of the borrower's portal, above the checklist. Good for setting expectations:

"Hi — thanks for choosing Sunrise Mortgage. Use this portal to upload your documents securely. Reach out via chat if you have any questions."

Logo

Your logo appears in the portal header and on exported PDF cover sheets.

Supported formats: PNG or JPG Recommended size: Square, minimum 200×200px. Wider logos also work — they'll be contained to a fixed height.

To upload:

Go to Settings → Branding
Click the logo upload area
Select your file

Starter and Pro plans only. Free plan users can configure branding text but cannot upload a custom logo.

Brand color

Setting a primary brand color changes the accent throughout the borrower portal — buttons, active status indicators, and highlights take on your color.

Click the color picker next to Brand Color and enter a hex value (e.g., #1a56db) or pick from the palette.

Starter and Pro plans only. Free plan portals use the default BorrowerDocs accent color.
